Our porch & deck decor + more outdoor favorites

We’re a few weeks into May and I feel like the deck and front porch are officially ready for warmer temps! We still have to stain the pergola and switch out the string lights (trying a new shape bulb with a white cord), but we’re waiting on three sweet little baby Robin’s to leave the nest that was built on top of it this spring. It’s been so fun to watch! .

We just gave the deck a fresh coat of stain. I have the color SW Realist Beige color matched to a Behr solid deck stain at Home Depot. With Minnesota’s harsh winters, it pretty much needs a new coat every year. I love when it’s fresh and clean in the spring!

We have new chairs on the porch and on the deck this year! I am loving the new rattan dining chairs with our outdoor dining table! So much prettier and more comfortable than the black metal bistro chairs we had before. On the front porch, I had to have the new Threshold with Studio McGee Benmore accent chairs! Assembly was rough, but we did it and they are so comfortable and pretty! Completely worth it! I love them with the Loloi rug I got for the porch last year. I also put a cute Threshold with Studio McGee door mat outside the sliding glass door that goes out to the deck. It’s a nice little pop of pretty.

Instead of putting a wreath on the front door, I found this hanging woven planter with faux eucalyptus. I used a clear 3M hook to hang it on the door and it’s so cute! The online photo does not do it justice. You can easily move the wired branches around to make it pretty. I didn’t add anything, it just looks that much fuller after playing around with it a little.

I’ve rounded up all my sources in one place for you, plus some other outdoor must haves. Hope there’s some porch sitting weather where you are!

Update: I recently added these cute Parisian style chairs for extra seating on the deck. They’re such a steal at $112 for a set of two!
