January and February are rough months in Minnesota. There’s not a whole lot of going outside for fresh air and sunshine, so I try to find ways to brighten the mood indoors and bring some nature inside. Plants are a huge help and I also have a faux olive tree that makes me happy during these cold midwest winters.
I’ve rounded up some great affordable faux tree options, along with pretty pots and baskets to place them in. Usually the pot they come in is not pretty and I like something more substantial at the bottom anyway. Then what you do is fill them with all your plastic Target bags (you know you’ve got them) and place a layer of Spanish moss on the top. Trust me, it’s so pretty. It really elevates the whole look.
