Console tables are one of my favorite pieces to style. Here are a few styling tips I’ve learned along the way, along with a round up of console tables and decor for styling them.

• CREATE A FOCAL POINT. I like to use a piece of art or a mirror to achieve this. You can either lean it against the wall while resting it on the table, or you can hang it up on the wall above the table. When hanging art above furniture, you want the bottom of the frame to be between 6″-10″ above the piece of furniture. This will help the art and the furniture piece feel like a cohesive unit.
• ADD HEIGHT. You can add height using lamps or large vases with faux or real greenery. I like to put a large lamp on one end of the table and a vase with faux stems on the other end to balance things out.
• ADD LAYERS AND TEXTURE. Fill in the spaces with a stack of pretty books, a bowl, wood beads, trays, a wood knot, etc. If the console table has a lower shelf, I like to use baskets with throw blankets, large coffee table books, or decorative boxes to fill in those spaces.
