Halloween front porch

I’m not big into Halloween decorations, mostly because I don’t like scary stuff. You won’t catch me watching a horror movie, but I LOVE October and I love trick or treating with the kids on Halloween. Something about the crunchy leaves, cool air, hot apple cider, and the excitement of the kids dressed up in their costumes, running around the neighborhood. It feels like Fall magic.

Even though I don’t go big with Halloween decorations, I still like to make the house feel festive and decorate with some cute, classic Halloween decor. I want it to feel magical on the front porch when kids are out trick or treating.

This year I’m going to try some simple cream color cheesecloth hung around the front door with these cute black bats. I also love the idea of lots of twinkle lights like these star string lights and flickering flameless candles in jack o lanterns and stacked on front steps.
