Hard to believe Christmas is just 6 days away! Soon we’ll be having to find a place for new clothes and toys. With so much coming into the house, I like to sort through the kids stuff especially and donate some things to make room. I actually have three big bags in my trunk ready to go to Salvation Army right now!

I’ve rounded up some great storage solutions for toys and also great ways to store your artificial tree, wreaths, wrapping paper, lights, etc in an organized way. You’ll thank yourself next December!

I used Behr Shoelace on the walls/paneling (Eggshell finish) and the cabinets, shelves, and vent hood are painted Sherwin Williams Shiitake (Satin finish)

It all started when we posted our upper cabinets for sale on FB Marketplace. They unexpectedly sold within minutes and we needed to take them down in a hurry to have them ready for pick up the next morning.

That’s when things got real! It forced us to take the next steps in a project that I’d been dreaming about for a couple of years.

My hubby and I did it all ourselves, no outside help, no big budget. I did the designing, he did the measuring and cutting, I did the caulking and painting, and he put up with me “eye balling” how I wanted things to be.

All with many, many trips to Home Depot of course.

Aesthetic kitchen finds from Amazon? Yes, please! I’ve had these knives for a couple weeks now and I can honestly say that they are the best knives I’ve ever used! They even come with a built in sharpener on the Ashwood knife block.

Time to get rid of the mismatched or loose dull knives cluttering your kitchen drawers and get a cohesive set!

High quality stainless steel and corrosion resistant. My biggest tip is to always dry them right away after washing.

Ever since we finished our kitchen renovation, I’ve had requests to see the whole thing. (So…not just my favorite corner? Lol!) This video was super spontaneous. I didn’t even hide away my paper towels! Gasp!
In all honesty, I love the way it feels in here now. No longer stark white and boring builder grade. She has character now!

Cabinet, shelves, island and vent hood paint color is Sherwin Williams, Shiitake.
The backsplash paneling is painted Behr, Shoelace.
The white oak floating shelves are from @ultra_shelf in the finish Umber Gray.
We custom built the shelves with the oak paneling in the back.
We also custom built the vent hood.

Sharing my favorite quick and easy, protein packed breakfast. It has 32 grams of protein total! 30 from the yogurt, 1 from the banana and 1 from the blackberries.

Just add these ingredients to a bowl and enjoy:
.
1.5 cup Good & Gather Vanilla Greek Nonfat Yogurt
1 banana
1/2 cup blackberries
Cinnamon (however much you like)
Organic raw & unfiltered honey (I like Good & Gather from Target)

This rug has been so amazing in this high traffic area by the kitchen sink. The colors and pattern hide all the crumbs and spills, it’s super easy to vacuum, the price is amazing, and it’s just gorgeous!

All the Christmas decor has been put away. All except the tree, which is staying up until New Year’s Day. I did take all the ornaments off, but I’m still enjoying the lights.

It’s the year of the velvet ribbon bow, and I’m here for it.

You guys…this diffuser is amazing and it’s only $21 on Amazon! Look at how pretty that output is! I fill it in the morning and it runs ALL DAY! I’m a Young Living girl, but use any essential oils you like.

I have a second one that I use as a humidifier in our bedroom. Runs all night and so much easier to clean than a big humidifier.

3 tips for a cohesive look under the tree…
.
1. Stick to 3 or less styles of wrapping paper.
.
2. Stick to 3 or less colors of ribbon.
.
3. Put tags on the back of presents for a cleaner look.

I’d link the wrapping paper I used this year, but they’re either old or I found them at HomeGoods. (Story of my life). I will link the brown velvet ribbon I got on Amazon. It comes in a huge spool and would be so pretty on wreaths or tied as bows on the tree. You can find the link on my LTK.
